Concerned members of the All-Progressives Congress 2023 Presidential Campaign Council PCC, led by Alhaji Mohammed Mariam Alhassan are calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for more inclusion for members who worked hard for the success of the election in appointments and party structure. The call was made through a press statement made available to ‘’newsmen’’ in Abuja.
In the statement, Alhassan congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, and other party leaders on the success of the recent bye-elections.
’’ This victory is yet another testament to Mr. President’s political doggedness, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment to democratic consolidation. We pray that these wins translate into greater value for our nation and enduring prosperity for the APC’’.
He went on further to quoted Albert Einstein saying . “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch and do nothing.” Adding that Silence in the face of division is a risk no leader can afford, especially when the stakes are national unity, party stability, and future electoral victory .
Al Hassan maintained that the 2023 general election victory was a direct result of a broad, well-coordinated effort, most crucially from the members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. Adding that the team carried the message to every ward, defended the president’s mandate in the most hostile terrains, and built the political momentum that secured the win.
‘’In politics, the greatest asset ahead of an election is a fully motivated and united base. When key contributors feel valued, they double their efforts; when they feel overlooked, they disengage, and disengagement at this level creates openings for opponents to exploit. The current perception of neglect in appointments and patronage towards many Campaign Council members is not just an internal grievance, it is a strategic vulnerability. Al Hassan added
He went on further to quote the Quran and the Bible saying, ‘’The Holy Quran ( 94:5-6) teaches that ” indeed, with hardship comes ease,’ and the Holy Bible ( Psalm 126:5) assures us that Those who sow in tears shall reap with joy. “. We believe that these promises of reward after sacrifices should be reflected in our governance and internal Party affairs’’
According to him, ‘’by deliberately increasing the inclusion and patronage of these members now, you would not merely be rewarding loyalty; you would be fortifying your political machinery for 2027. Every one of these individuals brings with them grassroots networks, financial capacity, and proven campaign expertise, resources that money alone cannot buy and that no leader can risk losing’’
In conclusion, He noted that ‘’The day is far spent, and 2027 is closer than it appears. Now is the time to consolidate, strengthen alliances, and secure the loyalty of every proven hand that delivered victory in 2023.
