You are not an after thought

Yemisi Theo Adeyemi is  the founder and president of unfading beauties ministry; an outreach program that is focused on helping women become their best in God she  speaks on her journey walking with women.

The journey has been educative, entertaining and intriguing. Educative because the more I walk and work with women, the more I’m exposed to different dilemmas and situations that women have to navigate through to become what God had in mind when we were created as individual women. Entertaining is a word I use to describe my experience also because I’ve enjoyed every bit of the journey.

Meeting mothers, sisters and young women of like passion seem to always gladden my heart; reminding me that I am not alone in this world. We are all part of a very beautiful story called womanhood.

I used the word intriguing to describe my experience because the word is used for anything that engages the interest to a marked degree… something fascinating and that has been it for me. The more women I meet and work with, the more women I hope to meet, engage and leave better than when we met.

Speaking to young women out there she says “You are not an afterthought! God deliberately made you just like he did the man. Don’t look at yourself less than anybody or any man for that matter. Become everything God designed you to be. You are way more than your relationships: yes your emotions are always raging, making you feel everything in your life is a product of your emotions, it is a big lie, don’t fall! Whether you consider yourself young or old, plain or beautiful physically, rich or on the way to wealth, learned or learning, strict or friendly; use everything you have to become everything you can. Be an outstanding blessing to everyone you meet so you can someday die with nothing to regret. Speaking about her book store; The Berean Bookshop she added that‘’ The Berean Bookshop is still part of my passion for a world that won’t settle for less than it is capable of becoming.

It began with me trying to get some persons I met to read and then the vision spanned into trying to get everybody around me to love reading and putting down their thoughts and stories in writing for posterity. We sell recreational books, inspirational books, of course books for Christians of all walks of life, novels, children books, stationaries for schools and offices’’. Although we are a major online bookstore, we now have an on-ground location here in Akure, Nigeria she added.
