IS ROME WEDDED TO HER APOSTASY?
Bishop Carlo Maria Vigano has always warned the Church against the disposition of Pope Francis and Vigano is not a man of small standing in the Catholic Church. He was at a time the Vatican’s Apostolic Pronuncio to the United States – the Vatican Ambassador to the US. In 2009 he was appointed the Secretary General of the Vatican City Governorate, where he reformed the finances of Vatican City and turned a budget deficit into a surplus. While on active service, he was in the forefront of the campaign to cleanse the Vatican City of corruption and the sexual scandals which plagued the Church at the time. Vigano though retired is still in active advocacy for the purification of the Church.
Bishop Vigano has always warned us, that we have an anti-Christ on the seat of St Peter and today, the veil seems to have been lifted off Pope Francis and we have seen him for what he is. His recent Fiducia Supplicans is a vindication of the warnings of Bishop Vigano. During the Covid Pandemic, following the Pope’s vehement alliance with the Covid cabal, Vigano described the Pope as pursuing a programme of “Solve et Coagula.” This is a Latin phrase initially representing a process in Chemistry, whereby you dissolve a material in order to transform it into another form.
In the context of faith, “Solve et Coagula” was attributed to the demon Baphomet and associated with satanic temples which use Baphomet as a symbol of rebellion and who instigate crisis and confusion in order to create a new order friendly to a globalist agenda. He has also even described the Pope as a Usurper – someone who has found his way unto the Seat of St Peter and has turned it into purposes for which it is not meant.
God is not the author of confusion. Any minister of the gospel who authors a message that generates controversy and confusion is definitely not speaking for God. The Fiducia Supplicans – the Pope’s authority permitting the extension of blessings to same sex couples is a document of confusion and could not but emanate from the pit of hell. Nevertheless, I expected a much firmer stand against the document from our church leaders but they seem to be playing hide and seek on the matter. It is time to quit playing cap in hand with Rome.
Most of our priests simply lightly broached the subject of biblical contradiction but rather alluded more to the fact of African culture being averse to same sex marriage. In bringing culture into this fray, our Lord Bishops missed it one bit. Scriptures is above culture. Many of us who are third generation Christians know of no other culture than Christian doctrines.
Happily, not a few Bishops and Priests have spoken from across the world. May God bless their souls. Unfortunately, I fear for the African Catholic Church given the watered down response of African Conferences of Catholic Bishops to the declaration by the dicastery. I have read and listened to attempts to bury the clear errors and deliberate ambiguities of the Pope in euphemisms and innuendos. Some of our Reverend Fathers have appointed themselves into unofficial spokespersons of the Vatican. Are we saying we understand English more than the US and European Bishops that are up in arms against the Pope on this? Their condemnation of this same sex apostasy has at best been feeble. The Papal declaration is a sword that has pierced through the heart of the church and must be given every seriousness it deserves.
The foundation for the rejection of gay marriage for believers is not culture but scripture. Alluding to African culture is an open sesame that would open the floodgate to other apostasies. Yes, because there are many acts sanctioned by culture but which are contrary to the Scriptures.
At every point in the cross road of global history, Africa has always been called to the rescue. When Julius Caesar dueled with Pompeii on who was the master of Rome, the battle was resolved Egypt. Pompeii arrived Egypt and was beheaded there. Upon Caesar’s chase and arrival in Egypt, the rulers of Egypt gave him the head of Pompeii on a platter. case closed and Roman empire entered its golden age. When the life of baby Jesus was threatened by Herod, his parents took him to Egypt and there they found sanctuary until Herod died.
When Roman Empire began to disintegrate at the height of Christianity, and citizens of Rome began to blame Christianity for its misfortune, it was St Augustine, of Hippo, a Berber in the present day Algeria, that provided the compelling narratives that saved Christianity. His epic book, Civitate Dei (The City of God) and teachings inspired a revival of the Christian faith in the Roman Empire and saved Christianity from extinction.
Africa again is being called upon to stop Pope Francis on his tracks. Fiducia Supplicans is but a tip of the iceberg in the comprehensive harm this Pope has in store for the Church. Pope Francis, since he assumed the seat, has carried on in manner that has turned the Faith on its head. He has carefully appointed Cardinals into the Consistory who are in agreement with his Liberal principles. He has suspended Bishops who would resist his anti-faith reforms at the flimsiest of all excuses. Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler in Texas being the most recent.
Africa must rise up and show the world that our church has come of age. After all we have the Syrian Orthodox Church, Greek Catholics as well as Russian and Armenian Catholic Churches. I believe it is time for an African Catholic Church. Yes, because Rome, and indeed, the West, under the present Pope are wedded to their apostasy. It is time to let them alone. African fidelity to the Scriptures is not subject to negotiation. We must forcefully and unequivocally reject the Pope’s Fiducia Supplicans as it opens a cesspit of moral dilemma to all believers and a highway to hell.
By it the Pope has eroded the very foundation of the faith on which he assumed office. He has deployed his office more towards the promotion of globalist woke agenda – Climate Change, LGBTQ, support of Democratic Party, Covid Vaccines and all. He has done so little by way of evangelism and the advancement of the faith. He must be confronted in very clear terms. The Bible says to resist the devil and he will flee. It is for this reason that we exist today.
