Could you Believe it?! Right in the heart of Abuja!

It was exciting day hiking at an alluring waterfall I had seen from a distance during a wedding reception, cascading at the very heart of Abuja City. The wonder-sight could be accessed from inside Par Excellence Waterfall Garden Zone 5, opposite Ibro Hotel. It offers sneak peek into the great potentials for resorts and tourist attractions in the capital city. However, the tragedy with Africa has always been that these things would be with us but we would wait for “King Leopold of Belgium” to come and exploit the resources and then we would derive ecstasy from complaining and compaining and complaining.
This natural marvel begins with a a gliding flow which then picks up energy as it bubbles over a tabular rock formation into an estuary of awe-inspiring boulders lined up like the stone-henge of ancient England. The torrents beat unto the rocks lined up like guardsmen which split the rapids into two at the point it flows yet into a passing river at a T-formation, with the soft caress of its two arms.
I was told that the waterfall is alive all-year-round but the rapids reduce somewhat during the dry season. There have been efforts to develop garden resorts around the fall but what we have today are but a caricature to a place that deserves five-star projects.
